Iron Fist

This is Marvel’s fourth Netflix show and it promises to be just as successful as the others. The darker tone of these shows has shown the versatility of Marvel characters and has opened up a whole new region for the superhero universe. Finn Jones leads the cast as the Iron Fist, a superhero with martial arts skills. Any fans of superheroes or Marvel will love Iron Fist.

 

The BFG

This Steven Spielberg film shows off everything we’ve come to expect from him. Based off of a book by Roald Dahl, The BFG will soon be a classic Spielberg kid’s movie. Mark Rylance stars as The BFG with a cast including Rebecca Hall, Jemaine Clement, and Bill Hader. If you enjoy kids movies, this is the film for you.

Pete’s Dragon

Recently, Disney has been turning their classic animated films into live-action blockbusters. First, it was The Jungle Book, now it’s Pete’s Dragon. This film showcases an all-star cast with Bryce Dallas Howard, Robert Redford, and Wes Bentley. Anyone who enjoys Disney movies will love Pete’s Dragon.

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

Wes Anderson’s fourth film is a classic example of his quirky style of filmmaking. The film tells the story of an aging oceanographer who attempts to find and kill the shark who killed his partner. Bill Murray stars as the title character along with Owen Wilson, Cate Blanchett, Willem Dafoe, and Jeff Goldblum. If you enjoy Wes Anderson films, you’ll definitely enjoy The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.
