Halloween is one of the most fun holidays of the year. You get to dress up and be whoever (or whatever) you want, and you get to stuff your face with sweets without feeling guilty about it. Personally, it’s one of my favorites. But sometimes, Halloween can be boring if you don’t have any friends to share it with. Lucky for you, I have some tips on how to survive Halloween when you have no friends!

Dress Up in Costume and Hand Out Candy to Kids

Yeah, I know. Sounds boring, right? Handing out candy to kids trick-or-treating while you’re stuck at home. But it’s quite the opposite. When you’re dressed up as anything in front of a child, you automatically become whatever that is! Get in character, perform like you’re in a show! You will make any kid who comes to your door very happy.

Buy Clearance Candy at Walmart

As soon as the 31st actually comes, all of the candy in Walmart goes on clearance. Large bags of your favorite candy for SUPER CHEAP PRICES! It’s my favorite part about any holiday. (And don’t feel guilty about eating a whole bag of chocolate, it’s Halloween!)

Halloween Movie Marathon

This is a classic. Scary movies, family movies, anything that has to do with Halloween, just binge watch it! You can’t go wrong with a nice scary movie session, especially when they’re in season. Here are a few of my favorites:

  • Halloweentown (All of them, of course)
  • Hocus Pocus
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas
  • Beetlejuice
  • The Addams Family
  • The Corpse Bride
  • Scream
  • A Nightmare On Elm Street

These are just a few of the things you can do by yourself on Halloween. Although hanging out with friends and going to parties or going trick-or-treating is really fun, you can make your own party at your house! Who needs friends when you have yourself, candy, costumes, and scary movies?
