Walking in New York Fashion Week is every girl’s dream. The hair, makeup, and flashing lights are what Sophmore Taylor Shelby got to experience. Shelby has been modeling for about 5 years. She started by modeling for local places and needed something more. “ I wanted to do something bigger, “ says Shelby.
Shelby’s mom is a photographer, so she got pretty comfortable in front of cameras. Her mom is her biggest inspiration. Shelby says, “ My mom because she always makes me happy even when I’m mad and things are stressful she is always there for me.”
Shelby was in New York for 4 days. While in New York, she visited the city and met amazing people. Behind the scenes, there were a ton of models, hair, and makeup people. “ All the hair and makeup and the models, it was crazy,” says Shelby.
Modeling isn’t something that Shelby wants to pursue after college. “ I want to continue modeling through high school and maybe a little in college, but not afterward,” says Shelby.
Shelby wishes to return to New York Fashion Week next year and get with big pageant designers.
