I stand watching the sunrise and the stars luminate my regrets
I hear gentle music dance around in the soundwaves
Song to my say – Light to my day – Yin to my yang
You were once a celestial constellation shining among the moon
You were once the most beautiful part of the galaxy
You were once a powerful nebula full of bright colors
Gentle yet demanding – You ruled the universe with your beauty
Cruel yet kind – You were worshiped and appreciated
You were the stars, the planets, and the space dust that danced in the sky
You fell from greatness and we met on this earth
With blood, flesh, organs, and veins
You spoke, you breathed – You blinked, you walked
Yet even after meeting you I never saw you nor heard you
You existed and we became friends but I never truly understood you
Were you a person or a god? You were just a nobody
A soul traveling aimlessly through the earth
And then you died – And then you went back home
My star, my planet, my space dust – May you dance in the sky
You were never meant for this universe – I’m glad that you went back home
Now you shine bright once again, but I miss you more than anything
May you rest in peace and rise to greatness
I stand watching the sunset and the stars illuminate the sky
I hear blissful waves ruthlessly crash against the shore
I feel free – I feel peace – I feel bittersweet
