Avery Dufault, Staff Writer – The Mane Tale Yearbook
Avery is driven by her passion for writing and helping others. She loves creative writing so she can express herself through writing stories. Avery feels every emotion she has incredibly deeply and loves that about herself because it helps her understand others better.
Being part of the Mustang Marching Band has had one of the biggest impacts on her life. Marching Band finally let her feel like she belonged somewhere and finally found her people. Joining the marching band freshman year helped her learn so much about herself, and she has never been more dedicated to anything in her life.
One thing Avery truly believes is that everyone is a good person in some way and deserves to be loved. Helping others feel cared for and appreciated is one of Avery’s biggest priorities in her everyday life. If someone needs help or seems alone, she makes an effort to make them smile.
The people Avery surrounds herself with make her who she is; she wouldn’t be the person she is without them. Lots of Avery’s inspiration in her writing comes from her friends. She loves writing long essays for her friends on special occasions so she can truly express to them how much she loves and cares for them. Avery doesn’t have a clear plan for what she wants to do in the future, but since she’s gotten more involved in journalism, she really has fallen in love with writing. One day, she hopes she’ll write something that everyone will love and will make them feel the emotions she was feeling when she wrote it.
