Kyra Morris, The Crimson Chronicle Staff Writer
In only 18 years of life, there have been many hills for Kyra Morris, she was in foster care for 7 years and got adopted into an abusive household and lived there for five years before she moved out on her 18th birthday. To deal with everything she went through, she loved and loves to work, read, write, and listen to music to escape her reality and now for fun. When she was down in the dumps, she always found a way to stay positive and optimistic, as she always does. She never lets anything hold her down, and she always has a beautiful smile on her face that makes others smile as well. When she is able to, she also loves to hangout with her close family, friends, and boyfriend. She is an extremely social person, around the right people. They always bring out the best in her and they are always there for her, supporting her and making sure she has everything she needs. Some things that grate on Kyra’s nerves are having to repeat herself, close-minded people, slow internet and walkers, and bad hair days. She loves her long, curly hair especially when it cooperates. Kyra is proud of her past and being able to grow out of it, she is proud of her unruly hair that people always tell her it looks better straightened, she is proud of her 4.0 GPA, and two short stories she has entered into writing contests.
