Madison Fields, Staff Writer - The Mane Tale Yearbook

By: Sydney Clevidence

Madison Fields (11) is a strong, involved student of McCracken County High School who is preparing for great feats her Junior year.

Fields discovered her interest in joining the MCHS Yearbook Staff through a writing class she took her Sophomore year. Everyday in her class, Fields was able to catch glimpses of what the yearbook class would do on a day-to-day basis. Seeing the impact that they made on the school, Fields was inspired and decided after little thought that she would be applying the next year.

Outside of school, Fields works 20 hours every week at Wingstop. “I don’t really like working mornings, I just never know what to do with all that time,” she claims. Even though the job can be stressful due to the high demand for social interaction, Fields doesn’t let it bother her and continues to work hard every minute of every shift.

The dedication Fields shows in this workplace is preparing her for her future goal of attending any Ivy League school to pursue a career in trauma surgery. When asked what this job entails, Fields described it as “the behind the scenes of helping victims recover from traumatic accidents.”

An avid reader, Fields is currently a member of the book club. When she has freetime, Fields enjoys reading her favorite book series written by Sarah J Maas, which includes three subseries: Throne of Glass, Court of Thorns and Roses, and Crescent City.  This love of reading also sparks her passion for writing. Fields also loves watching her favorite shows: Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries
