Fall Break

If you’re like me, you’re ready for fall break! No school, no homework, no stress. Fall break is a week out of the school year that we get a pause from all things school. From the beginning of the school year, teenagers are looking forward to fall break. Everyone is looking forward to their vacations, some go to the beach, some go to the mountains, and some choose to stay at home. Staying at home for fall break isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it’s a time to relax and destress.

If you are staying home for fall break, make the most of it! While being at home, you have the chance to do many things. You can explore the outdoors, get organized, or even head to the gym. By staying in town for fall break, you have time to take a break from school and the stress that comes with it. Some people feel like they need to be constantly doing something during their pause from school. If you are one of those people, take a day road trip. A day road trip will give you time to hang with friends and explore the area around where you live. You don’t have to go far, just far enough to get away from our little town and take in the new scenery. You can also start becoming organized. Organization is key to high school and real life, so during fall break take the time to organize your backpack, folders, and maybe even your life. Fall break is a great time to step away from everything that may stress you out.
Fall break is a time to reflect on school and come back better than ever. If you go on vacation or stay at home, embrace it and live it up. Don’t just sit at home and complain about not being on vacation when you can go out and have your own little mini vacation around our town. Fall break for McCracken County High School is October 3rd through October 7th.
