Makella Tate

Makella Tate

Kaitlyn Wildoner, Staff Writer - The Mustang Messenger

Makella Tate is a sophomore at MCHS. This is her first year on the dance team and she is very excited. She’s been dancing for 8 years and discovered her passion at a younger age. Her grandma even had her own studio and taught Makella to dance there when she was just three years old. Along with her grandma, her sisters, Addy Drake and Emma Drake, are big inspirations to her. Makella really enjoys spending time with friends and family and she loves them all dearly. She is a very big people person; although she was not always that way. She played softball throughout all of the elementary school but said she was scared to because she wasn’t as outgoing as she is today. She loves high school and feels that she’s stepped out of her comfort zone a bit here at McCracken. Although she doesn’t plan to incorporate dancing into her future as of right now, she believes dancing will mark a significant time in her life to look back on and smile about later. She loves her dance teacher, Wheeler, for encouraging her to keep going and work harder at this sport.
