Samantha Hunter: Your Morning Messenger

Kynadee Slife, Staff Writer - The Mustang Messenger

Samantha Hunter, student at McCracken County High School, is one of the many students that make McCracken wonderful. She is on the media team and she is on the morning announcements that are played most mornings to give the students a preview for the day. Hunter also does photography as well. At sports events she sometimes goes around and takes photos of people in the moment. Hunter was asked a few questions about her pathway here at McCracken and here is what she has to say about it.

Hunter was asked, “Do you like doing the morning announcements and media? Why?” she responded with, “ Yes. We have a motto that we aren’t a team and we aren’t a crew, but we are a family. It feels good to be a part of something where we are so close and have such a good relationship.” It is important to feel welcomed and valued by the students and faculty around you and Samantha says, “I like when I’m walking in the hallway and people say hi to me and acknowledge me. It makes me feel happy.” As stated before, Hunter is also a part of the media team outside of school. Hunter was asked, “Is there anything you have to do outside of school that takes time?” her response was, “Being on the media team takes lots of time and dedication to be able to do. We also live stream games which we have to be there for after school hours.”
