In the movie Wonder directed by Stephan Chbosky the main character Auggie has deformities on his body that make his life difficult. Auggie struggles to do things that normal kids do like go to school and make new friends. For most of his life Auggie has been home schooled but his mom is making him attend school to help him overcome his fears. Along the way we get to witness how Auggie grows and struggles. This quote from the movie shows the hidden theme “When given the choice between being right or being kind choose kind.”

This movie is one of the best emotional roller coasters I have seen. The movie talks about bully awareness which is not talked about as much as it should be. In this movie it shows the struggles of growing up and to me it helps others to see the ups and downs of the real world in a kid appropriate way. It also shows kindness goes a long way and that you should never judge someone for their looks. I would recommend this movie to all audiences over the age of eight years old. Out of five I would give this movie a five out of five because of its positive message that it is spreading.
