The library is, a cozy place at McCracken with loads of books to read, including the new books! A small shelf as you go in (or closer to exiting) holds new books that are ordered 2-3 times a year in The Manchikanti Library. The Manchikanti Library is located upstairs across from the Strawberry Hills arena. The improvement of changing books to genre has helped kids find the books they are looking for. The system has played in getting new books.
“Fantasy is probably the most popular, followed by romance,” Wright mentioned. “Yes, then realistic,” added Thompson.
Used to, new books would have been ordered every nine weeks, but due to difficulties that was set back to a few times a year.
“. . . and then with budget and stuff we’ve kinda been cut back to a little bit less.” Wright mentioned.
New books are ordered 2-3 times a year, found at stores including Walmart, Sam’s Club, Books-a-Million, and many others. Books can also be recommended sometimes by students on the website under “BOOK SUGGESTIONS.” The librarians would love to hear your recommendations for the library! A book Mrs. Wright recently read that has made it to the library is “Better Than The Movies” (Lynn Painter) and can be found in the romance section.
