Hayden Holloway, Staff Writer – The Mustang Messenger
Hayden Holloway is a freshman at McCracken County High School. Her love of writing stemmed from her mom reading her books when she was little. Her mom even wrote a book in her notes app that she “refuses to publish,” so clearly there’s a little hidden talent there. Holloway plays softball and basketball and is usually traveling to compete with her teams on the weekends. Her parents are the most supportive of her, sticking by her side and traveling with her for her games.
Holloway enjoys writing about politics and exposing the things that she feels the government is hiding from people.
Give the voice to the voiceless, Hayden!
She takes a particular interest in the debate over the COVID-19 vaccine, stating that “This is a viral infection, it runs its course and your body builds antibodies. Eventually, it will go away.”
Holloway loves frogs and going to football games with her friends. She hasn’t been at the high school long, but finally getting to be in the student section is one of her favorite memories in high school so far. She’s involved in HOSA and has applied for student government. Holloway plans to go to Duke University for either a degree in sports medicine or physical therapy.
Holloway enjoys reading history books and watching the History Channel when she wants information or inspiration for writing. She believes that writing is more of a hobby or a pathway than it is a career choice for her. Although her mom was the one to place her in this class, she does still enjoy writing from time to time.
